"The animals have no voice but ours..." |

CVAS says THANKS to everyone who helps make lives better for homeless pets!! Throughout the years, we have organizations, clubs and individuals who donate to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter to help with our mission of saving homeless pets. Without thoughtful folks like this in the community, we wouldn't be able to continue to care for the almost 2,000 animals who come through our door. We often feel a simple thank you is never enough, but from all of us, it's sincerely heartfelt. The following folks were generous enough to give to CVAS:
Mike Connor, Chairman of the Chambersburg Rotary Club Foundation presents a $2,000 check to Nancy Gardner, Board President of the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter. This will purchase a surgical table for the new animal shelter, which will be finished upon the completion of its capital fund raising.

Thank you to the Wilson College VMT Club who raised $675 for CVAS with their dog wash. Thanks so much ladies!!
******************************* Thank you to Billy Blednick for celebrating his 9th birthday at Red Bridge Roller Rink and in lieu of presents, asking partygoers (the third-grade class at Corpus Christi School) to bring donations for the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter. The group collected dog and cat food, treats, kitty litter, toys, collars and leashes. Thank you all so much and Happy Birthday, Billy!!! ******************************* Thank you to Tele-Plus for donating to our relocation project. CVAS says thank you to Grace Shapiro and Erika Rundquist (pictured left) of Girl Scout Troop 838 for making Happy Socks for our cats! The girls created the cat toys from socks, cotton and catnip for their Bronze Award and our felines sure loved them! Thank you so much!!

The girls sold bottles of water and pulled weeds in neighbor's yards to help raise money for CVAS. The girls said they "wanted to help the animals who didn't have homes." CVAS certainly appreciates their efforts to help homeless pets. Our four-legged babies most definitely thank you too!! Pictured above, from left are Madison, 7; Kenna, 6; Kaylin, 8; and Kennady, 4.

We all sincerely thank the group for their
efforts to help our four-legged babies!! We couldn't do what we do
without folks like you!! Thank you so much!!!
************************************************************* Camryn Palmer turned 2 years old in September of this year and instead of receiving presents for herself, she accepted donations for the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter. Camryn and her family brought donations of kitten, cat and dog food into the shelter. We thank the Palmers so much for their generosity!
Lexy Poe (right), Brooke Poe (middle) and Kayla MacAskill (left) raised more than $100 for the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter by doing jobs in their neighborhood. The girls attend Shiloam Christian Academy and the two-legged and four-legged souls at CVAS couldn't be more grateful for their thoughtful kindness! Thanks so much girls!!
************************************************************* Samantha Furlong, Meaghan Rhodes and Alexa Furlong raised more than $150 for CVAS by having a yard sale and selling baked goods in October. Alexa had wanted to help the homeless animals at the shelter and with the efforts of her friends, managed to raise money for homeless pets. We're all so thrilled that they were able to help us out! We really appreciate it girls!!
****************************************************************** "I found some pretty stones around my house and sold them," Megan explained. She and her sister, Eileen, who is 6, brought the money into the animal shelter and posed for a picture with a kitten. When asked why she decided to do this, Megan explained, "The cats were very pretty the first time I came here and I wanted to help." The sisters live in Shippensburg and attend Grace Baylor Elementary School, where Megan is in first grade and Eileen is in kindergarten. Their parents, George and Jennifer Pomeroy, are clearly quite proud of their daughters. The Pomeroys obviously love animals, they have two cats named Bei Bei and Bao Bao, as well as three fish. CVAS thanks these young fundraisers for their help and devotion to animals!! *******************************************************************

us. Thanks to everyone who helped make this impromptu fundraiser so
successful!! *******************************************************************
