Blessing of the Animals
What: A
community-wide service project of Trinity Lutheran Church
Where: The parking
lot at Trinity Lutheran
26 W. Commerce Street
Chambersburg, PA
When: Sunday,
October 3, 2010 at 3:00 p.m.
(The rain date is October 10, 3:00 p.m.)
This is the Sunday closest to the
Festival of St. Francis of Assisi,
patron saint of animals.
Who: Pets and their
human companions throughout the
Cumberland Valley are invited to attend.
The service will be led by Trinity's
clergy.
LARC (Lutheran, Anglican, Roman
Catholic)
clergy will assist in the individual blessings.
Additionally: Is
your animal buddy a little shy? Bring a picture of him/her to
be blessed. Has your animal friend crossed the Rainbow Bridge?
Memorial liturgy is being included.
St. Francis of Assisi medals and
treat bags will be given to participants.
Every consideration is being given
for the comfort of the animals.
Parking will be available at
Heninger Field.
