The Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter has teamed up with the American Cancer Society for a special Dog Walk "Paws for a Cure" from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 10, at the new site at Kenny Gardens. All monies collected will be split evenly between the two organizations so don't miss your chance to help two great causes! Participants are asked to raise
money for the walk by getting sponsors. Similar to the ACS Relay for
Life, "Paws for a Cure" will include a loop-style walk around the
grounds of the new Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, near Kenny Gardens.
Walkers may bring their dogs and as many friends and family as they can gather to walk to support the two organizations. Individuals may participate for a $5 registration fee or groups can walk for $20 registration. To sign up, please print and fill out the registration form by clicking here and the sponsor sheet by clicking here. The pledge form can be printed out by clicking here. Bring both with you to the walk on April 10. Participants will also be able to take part in the Tribute Trail, to honor animals or people who meant something special to walkers and team members or who battled cancer. Tribute Trail signs are $5 each and will make the walk both poignant and special to those who take part in the event. To purchase a sign, please print and fill out the form by clicking here. The event will also include food, fun, entertainment and other vendors. Help us get the word out about this special event by printing out the flyers by clicking here. We're looking to make this an
annual fundraiser to combine the efforts and work of the
American Cancer Society and the
Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, so
